On my self portrait you can see a version of me doing a makeup retouch, which looks super proud of her, full of confidence in her. And on the other side of the mirror, there is another version of me, this time far softer, with little makeup and which, at first glance, seems very nice. The first version of me doing a makeup touch-up is the version that others see at first: I look haughty, mean.. This «me» represents the person I want to appear so as not to be too nice and to prevent people from taking me over. etc while the second version of me, represents the person I really am, that is, a sweet very kind person, and who listens to everyone.. this version of myself unfortunately no one has seen it in my class because no one really knows me, they only know me as a girl from their school. I realized this self portrait because I often get the phrase: "OMG but I thought you were a pest"; this sentence is not necessarily hurtful but it still has an impact. Through this work I want to make people understand that the personality does not stop with the physical appearance and we should not rely on it. People who hide behind their appearance adopt this strategy for various reasons, whether it is emotional protection, social compliance, professional needs or personal struggles. Understanding these motivations can help better understand human behaviours and develop more authentic and empathetic relationships.
This is a young man, white, wearing a black sweatshirt with a white, barely readable inscription, wearing earphones, leaning on a table with a laptop in front of him and his phone on his right. In the background, there is a clearly dark room that doesn't allow us to see any further. With a focused look, he observes his computer, concentrating on what seems to be of great importance at the moment. The music in his earphones must be reinforcing his concentration on completing a task. The table he's seated at is uncomfortable, which is evident from his posture. He leans on it because standing in front of a computer isn't pleasant, but that's not his concern; he wants to complete his task down to the smallest detail. Behind him is a flight case, indicating he might be working on an event or similar project with an audience. This could suggest that pressure is present, and the task must be completed quickly and well within a set time frame.
